It’s such an honor to win this award. I want to thank Mrs. Manion for giving me the opportunity to let my light shine and always encouraging me to never give up. Just to be nominated for this award was amazing but to win this is such a privilege. Music plays such a prominent part in my life and I am overjoyed to be able to share my robust passion for music with my friends. My friends Abby, Alexa, Vanessa and I were given the opportunity to compose a Music Monday anthem. We wrote the anthem and I also composed music to play on the piano to go along our song. Later in the year we were given a chance to sing and play our song for the entire school. I t was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I enjoyed showing my friends how the piano music went along with out lyric. That was an example of leadership. To be a successful leaders you need to have confidence, courage and love for what you’re doing.
At my school I was given some amazing opportunities to show music leadership. Winning this award means so much to me and I will cherish it forever. I hope that I can inspire others to take action, show leadership, make music and have fun doing it.
Music has always been a very important part of my life. ever since I was little, I’ve always loved music. I would listen to it, dance to it and study each unique feature of the song. When I was five years old, my mother told me about her father playing piano. It was his passion and it soon became mine. After hearing about my late grandfather’s love for music, I know I wanted to make my own music. At five years old I began playing the piano. Since I’d started playing the piano has become my best friend. I would play when I was happy, sad, excited or frustrated. I would play through all of my emotions. The Pino helped me get through an extremely difficult time when I was bullied for wearing glasses. After each day I would go to the piano and play through my feelings for hours. When i was playing, I was transported to another planet. I forgot all of the hurtful words and I was just Stephanie, a girl with a true gift. Today, I am still that girl that has a passion and gift for the piano.
